Spark Enthusiasm - Teaching In Action - Disney Teachers of the Year 2006

Amy was selected as a 2006 Disney Teacher of the Year. She was nominated along with 77,000 other teachers from around the United States. She was chosen as a Disney Teacher of the Year for her innovative teaching style, creativity, and ability to inspire her students. Amy and her husband went to Disneyland in August 2006 to attend the Awards Gala and to meet her new friend, Mickey Mouse. She also visited Disney World in the fall of 2006 for professional development and to re-connect with the other 43 amazing teacher honorees.
