"Success is no accident.  It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all love of what you are doing or learning to do."

La Lotería de Nombres/Una Charla: Students walk around the room asking and answering questions that relate to a specific vocabulary theme such as clothing, transportation, or hobbies.  The theme can also be a grammar topic such as the preterite versus the imperfect or a cultural theme like the holidays that are celebrated in Spanish-speaking countries.  The students ask follow-up questions for each box on their papers, sign each of their partner’s papers, and continue on to their next partner.  Students usually do this activity as a class or large group for approximately 15 minutes.
